Freight-VU is an online portal that allows you to give your Customers (shippers, consignees, Bill-TO) an online tool to see:

  • All their active orders
  • All their historical orders
  • Shipment details including:
    • Stop locations
    • Dates/times
    • Pieces and weight
    • Bill of lading numbers
    • Proof of Delivery names
  • View the shipment invoice (only if they are the BILL-TO on the order)
  • View the shipment scanned paperwork (only if they are the BILL-TO on the order and the scans are tagged “Show on Invoice”)
  • Copy existing order to create new orders
  • Create new orders from scratch

Q: How can I get access to the Freight-VU module and offer track and trace to my customers? What is the cost?
A: All subscribers of the Enterprise version of the software get Freight-VU as part of the base package. No extra charge.
Q: Can my customers see their invoices online? What about the scanned BOL, POD and Rate confirmations documents?
A: Yes. If they are the BILL TO on the order, they can see the invoice online. They can also see all the scanned documents associated with the invoice provided the document is tagged as “Show on Invoice”.
Q: How do I train my customers on how the track and trace portal works?
A: There is an online training video that is automatically included in the “welcome” email. The “Welcome” email is sent out when you set up their access. You can always email them the training video as well.
Q: Is there a way for me to help my customer navigate the track and trace system?
A: Yes. You can “sign in” as your customer from the main TMS and see the same screens they would see. This makes it easier to train and support your customers. It is very easy and simple.
Q: How do I set up my customer to get access to track and trace?

Q: Can I call the “track and trace” Freight-VU portal from my website? I want my customers signing in from my website rather than Freight-VU.
A: Please contact us for information. We will need to work with your web provider. Every installation can be unique.
